Our last week in Fitzrovia
Hello pancake friends
We opened the doors of our Charlotte Street restaurant in June 2021, with a good dosis of post-Covid courage and trepidation. Fitzrovia has a touch of magic, it has history, character, glitzy stories, gloomy memories, but most of all, it’s just beautiful. So, when the old Pizza Express restaurant became available, the budiling just seemed like a perfect fit for us. With Dutch school vibes; unpretentious simple spaces and heaps of light, we jumped on it. It was designed by Overtreders-w from their home in Holland (lock-down was in full force) and after a Covid-complicated built, we opened our second restaurant five years after our first one in London Bridge.
After four years however, we will be moving on and closing our restaurant. It’s been such a pleasure serving pancakes to you, to the Fitzrovia community, to the many (American) tourists residing at the Charlotte Street hotel, students, nurses and doctors who work and study locally, to the office community – please come back more often, we all need you!!! – and Londoners far and wide. The size & therefore the cost of our restaurant here has hiked upwards and so we’ve decided to look for another location.
Our London Bridge and Battersea Power Station restaurants are of course very much welcoming you to enjoy our pancakes. The same menu, just a different view!
Charlotte Street will be serving a limited from today till Sunday, every day 8am – 3pm.
Do join us for a last hello!
Love
Patricia
