After four years, we will be moving on and closing our Fitzrovia restaurant. It’s been such a pleasure serving pancakes to you, to our local community

My fav place for pancakes in the city. I preferred Fitztrovia location and really disappointed that they closed it.

Good variety/quality of dishes and drinks, relaxed vibe and good customer service from Loki. Will definitely come again!Only disappointment was that my dish was supposed to come with hot honey but they only had normal honey, but I can forgive it because it was tasty regardless

I have been here twice. On both occasions I had excellent food and service. Pancakes are delicious and had variety of toppings both sweet and savoury. Overnight oats were also delicious. They have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Highly recommended.

Great place to meet for a snack and chat. We went for brunch, pancakes of course...It's very popular and therefore v busy. Book if you can, else there's a sitting queue outside. We didn't book and waited 5 mins.We sat outside with the heater on above our heads and soft blankets. Seating outside is split, a row next to front window and a shorter row which was more in the sun. Indoors is over 2 floors and fine on colder days.Food is good and I tried the Dutch pancake and we had a portion of simple pancakes.

I had the Canadian pancakes (cool idea renaming it). The food was very good but I think it could if done with some extra rashers of bacon.

The place was really amazing. Great pancakes and wonderful service. Ash was really helpful to us. There was a small discrepancy in one of menu amount and bill amount he was very kind to understand and making sure it was resolved.

Dropped by this place by chance so didn't really know what to expect, but we were greeted by a friendly waiter called Ash who provided excellent service for the duration of - what turned out to be - a fantastic meal. The vegan options are unreal: the 3-in-1 vegan pancakes themselves were so good, as was the vegan bratwurst with maple syrup topping and the Buddha pancake. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere, but Ash made the visit extra special. Would heartily recommend.

Excellent pancakes and excellent service. The pulled beef pastrami pancakes were lovely and the portion size was perfect. The kids pancakes and hot chocolate were just the right size too. Great place to stop for lunch.

Great vegan options of the pancakes menu both for adults and kids. We had a toddler with us and got a high chair and a colour pencil case with an Easter colour sheet for our little one. It's was very busy! But we were seated quite quickly. We had to wait a bit for the food (at least when you have a toddler it seemed long) and my friend got served a non vegan dish by miatake, but they made up for it by giving her a free drink. The service was good. I especially liked the waitress who explained how some of the dishes could be made vegan and how the dish would change. The music was a bit loud and a lot of people talking in a small space makes noise, but lovely people we encountered there.

Great pancakes. Too bad they removed the one with poached pear and replaced it with poached pineapple. The latter is still very good but hoping the pear will reappear as well :) Great staff.

What a delicious breakfast, the pancake on its own is amazing the egg is cooked perfectly and the Canadian syrup is outstanding, the customer service here is great they welcome and always around to serve you, thanks for the amazing experience

We had a great time at Where the Pancakes are in Fitzrovia. We got a good table and were served quickly, despite the restaurant being very busy! Our server Diana was brilliant. She gave us some good tips, was very attentive to my 2 children and what they wanted to drink and eat and went the extra mile to make my wife, who's birthday it was feel very special. She made a request with the chef to let me try some alternative pancakes as part of my order too. The pancakes were very well made. The flavour, warmth and texture was spot on. The bacon was quite tough and some bits were very chewy, I would have preferred them to be crispy. We also had the Cornflake chicken with Hollandaise sauce, that was REALLY good. I wish we had an extra pancake with that one. One little niggle I had was that I ordered a breakfast tea which arrives in a nice pot with a very nice black cup, but because the cup is black, it is difficult to see the strength of the tea brew, which is how I usually check if it has brewed enough before pouring a whole cup. We were also gifted some pancake mix at the end to say happy birthday! Overall, a really good experience and look forward to visiting again.

This is the second time I’ve been here through a thoughtful gift experience and I still bloody love it! Lovely chilled out atmosphere, staff are very friendly and welcoming, food was amazing, would love a wider range of cocktails though!

My experience has been amazing! We didn’t have to wait long! We went on a Sunday afternoon! Busy but not too busy! We’ve been served quite quickly! Perfect for a Sunday brunch! Good for tourists and locals x

I was here yesterday, I was really surprised by the speed and the service. In particular, my friend and I had the chance to be assisted by Eddy, who was really friendly and smiling. The service makes the experience even better. He recommended various options because the menu was really inviting. We got a Canadian and a Recovery. Excellent! Can't wait to go back for my birthday.

We went because it serves all day breakfast. As a pancake lover, I had high expectations. I got the English breakfast option which looked delicious, though the sausage was lacking in taste and the main event, the pancakes were a let down. I opted for the standard buttermilk pancakes which were way too salty, I ended up leaving one behind! I was disappointed. Service and location are great.

Decent American style pancakes. The pulled beef pastrami was interesting as it had melted cheese on top of the pancakes.

Really tasty and unique pancakes, definitely recommend for breakfast or brunch. Nice relaxed atmosphere with helpful, attentive staff. Service was quick when we were there and we hadn't booked despite it being busy.

If you go to a place that'll fill your stomach then this place is right for you!I went with my husband, and I enjoyed it, the pancakes are amazing, and in the menu have a few options if you are vegan, or dairy free. The pancakes tasted like heaven, and filled your stomach fast. I had finished my pancakes within minutes due to how good it was. Definitely will come back here again.

Really enjoyed the food. Service was fantastic and really attentive to your needs! Our waitress was fantastic, she asked if my eggs were ok and if they needed to be cooked on the other side…🤩Will definitely be back again for the 3 in 1 pancakes, hopefully they can be modified due to not being able to eat certain ingredients.

Came here during pancake day - it was opened till 10pm. Very good and fluffy pancakes! We were even given a packet of pancake mix in conjunction with pancake day and a box of st. ewe eggs. Service was also exceptional. First time here, but definitely not the last! I'd recommend!

I ate here with a group and those who ate enjoyed their meals. However, I have a peanut allergy and was informed by the manager that they wouldn't serve me unless I was "okay with cross-contamination". This is disappointing. Allergies are poorly catered for here. I had a coffee and ate elsewhere.

I was shopping in Battersea Power Station on Pancake Day, and really fancied a pancake. I discovered this restaurant was in the shopping centre and decided to treat myself.I was seated quickly and left to peruse the menu for a few minutes. I ordered the Miso Pear Caramel Pancake, along with a Turmeric Ginger Oat Latte. Both items arrived pretty quickly. The pancakes were gorgeous, but I did find the cream a bit too much. It’s very rich and I felt it overwhelmed the delicate flavour of the pears and caramel sauce - but that is just my personal opinion. I was also a little disappointed with the latte, as it was tepid and not the “hug in a mug” that I’d hoped for.Overall I was happy with the food and service - my negative comments are based purely on my personal preferences. I would definitely like to return and try other items from the menu.

Me and my mum popped in after a visa appointment down the road and we definitely didn’t regret it! The only negative is that there was so much to choose from we couldn’t decide. I went for the royal with avocado plus halloumi and my mum had the simple with a few extras. The pancakes were super fluffy and huge! All the additionals were delicious and my vanilla matcha latte was dreamy. Sihab looked after us during our visit, he was super friendly and helpful, offering suggestions when we were feeling overwhelmed with the amount of choice and offered more sauces for our meals. Thankyou Sihab for being so attentive and thankyou where the pancakes are for a lovely hump day brunch!

We chose to go back to this place for my birthday brunch. It was a no brainier as the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, food is delicious and the service is excellent. When it comes to the dietary requirements nothing was too much. Eddy and the chef made sure they meet those requirements so we can enjoy worry free our meal.Thank you guys it’s all well appreciated ☺️

The pancake was nice - fluffy and filling (I had a simple pancake with maple syrup) - and the staff was friendly (especially Eddy, who was very helpful and attentive). I really liked the coffee too.

Come here every year around pancake day and bring my team - they handled a booking of 20 really well, all the food came out at the same time which is impressive for so many peopleThe pancakes are thick and fluffy, if I was being picky I'd say the bacon could be crispier and id like the blueberries cooked in my pancake.The flat white is more like a mini latte, but that's not unusual in London

Delicious pancakes, perfect for breakfast. Not too sweet- you finish the meal full and satisfied, but not feeling sick. I love that there are vegan options. I ordered the vegan Hummingbird pancake. The coconut cream was lovely and the lime sauce was unique. The pomegranate and coconut chips were a nice touch. The texture of the pancake was lovely and light, not heavy at all. The iced vanilla matcha oat latte was lovely too. Very fast service with friendly waiters. Eddie and Nia were great.

Great portion sizes and delicious, unique pancakes! Great value and friendly staff, only downside is that tables are a bit cramped close together.

Pretty good. Service was good. Pancakes were nice. Drinks were very nice. The Spanish Latte looked like it actually has condensed milk in it, unlike the one from Costa. The banana pancake was not saucy enough, I asked for more, which was given with no hassle. Overall pretty good, well worth a visit if you like pancakes.I didn't feel overly full after eating, no belly ache of any kind, which I do get sometimes if I eat pancakes!
I was advised not to eat here if I have celiac b/c the chance of cross contamination was high. We had come for the GF pancakes, but I instead ended up eating a granola bar from my bag while my non-celiac wife ate some. She said her food was good though.
